Register for PSR

The Parish School of Religion provides religious education and sacramental preparation classes for children in grades Kindergarten through grade 8 who attend area public or private schools.  Children are prepared to receive the sacraments of First Penance and First Eucharist in grade two and Confirmation in grade eight.  Please contact Mrs. Donna Koppy, Coordinator of Faith Formation for Children, at (314) 487-6520 ext. 2219 or Koppyd@assumptionstl.org to learn more about the PSR program and register for classes.

Welcome to our newest PSR Staff Member

We welcome a new member to our PSR staff this month.  Mrs. Debbie Schaefer has joined the PSR staff in August as our new Part Time PSR Administrative Assistant.  Debbie came to us with experience as a parish secretary at Epiphany of Our Lord Parish where she worked for ten years prior to the closing of the parish school.  She replaces Mr. Matt Schoen, who resigned his position in July after being offered and accepting a full time position.  We wish Mr. Schoen every success in the future and we appreciate his availability in working with Mrs. Schaefer in order to help ensure a smooth transition.

PSR Registration Confirmation

Families who have completed the email student and guardian registration forms, and returned the Emergency Information Form will receive a PSR class placement email the week of September 7, 2010.  Children cannot be registered for PSR class until all the Student and Guardian registration forms and the Emergency Information form are completed and returned to the Assumption PSR Religion Office.  Please contact Mrs. Koppy or Mrs. Schaefer if you need additional information at (314) 487-6520 ext 2219 or 2212.

PSR First Night of Class

Mark your calendar! The first night of PSR class is Monday, September 13, 2010.  Parents accompany their children for a brief meeting in the Parish Center beginning at 6:15 p.m.

The PSR staff will be introduced and all registered students will accompany their teacher to their assigned classroom.  Classes will dismiss at 7:30 p.m.
