Educational Experience

This is my 38th year teaching at Assumption Parish School.  I started in 1973 teaching Reading to 5th and 6th graders.  The next year I moved to the 8th grade and taught 7th and 8th grade Language Arts with an 8th grade homeroom.  At the present time, I have a 7th grade homeroom and continue to teach English and Literature to 7th and 8th graders.  I have seen many wonderful changes that have occurred at Assumption.  It has truly been a blessing and a second home for me.

Educational Background

Degrees: MAT in Communications from Webster University, 1992
BA in Secondary Education from Rockhurst College, 1973, with a minor in Social Studies, English, Philosophy and Theology.

Certification: I have a life-time certification in these areas.

Hobbies

I love working with young people and have been coaching for almost 40 years.  Lately, I have been the Head Coach of the Meramec Women’s Soccer Team.  I have also coached track, basketball, baseball, and tennis.  I love going to sporting events and watching old movies.

Personal

I love to travel.  I hope to do more of it with my family.  In the summer we spend time in Pentwater, Michigan hanging out and enjoying the beach and other sights in Michigan.  I like to fish, swim, and be with my family.
