Educational Experience

This is my third year at Assumption as a second grade teacher.  Prior to Assumption, I taught fourth grade at Linda Vista Catholic School for a year before it closed. I found my love of teaching at Our Lady Queen of Peace where I began as a first grade PSR teacher and substitute teacher for their grade school.  The following year, I was hired to teach full-time and taught second grade for two years and worked as the resource teacher for one year.

Educational Background

Degrees: M.A. Community Arts Management from University of Illinois – Springfield
B.A. Theater and Arts Management from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO
Working towards M.A.T. in Elementary Education at Missouri Baptist University
Certification: State Certified Elementary Education for Grades 1-6
Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management

Hobbies

I enjoy learning, reading for pleasure, photography, watching gymnastics, fishing, and spending time with my family.  I describe myself as a life-long learner because I love to go to school and learn new things.

Personal

Outside of school, my family is my focus.  I am married to my best friend, Scott. We are the proud parents of two young children, Sophie and Cooper. We live in a rural area on over 3 acres where we enjoy family bonfires, Jeep rides, and fishing in our community lake.
