This is my fifth year as a first grade teacher at Assumption.  I’ve taught kindergarten and preschool here as well.  Prior to coming to Assumption, I was contracted with the Illinois Early Intervention Program as a Child Development Specialist and Developmental Therapist.  Before that, I was a preschool teacher and summer camp director with the City of Brentwood.  I have been working in the field of Early Childhood education for 20 years.

Degrees: Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville
Certification: State certified as an Early Childhood Teacher (Birth-Grade 3)
Catechist certification from the Archdiocese of St. Louis

Playing with my kids is my number one “hobby.”  I also enjoy reading, playing piano, singing and travelling when I can.

My husband and I have an 8 year old daughter and 6 year old son.  We spend a lot of our time together playing games, swimming, watching movies and visiting with family.  I am active in charity work and serve on the Board of Directors for Dianjiang Kids International as the Foster Care Director.
