Educational Experience

I’ve been a Learning Consultant since 2008.  I’ve been in teaching for twelve years now with most of my experience in Special Educational Settings.  I taught Middle School Language Arts 6-8th grade at St. Cecilia Catholic school from 2001-2004.   Some of my special education placements include:  Child Center of Our Lady Behavioral School,  Saint Louis Public Schools Behavior Disorder Classroom, and The Academy of St. Louis ( a private school for Learning Disabled students).

Educational Background

Degrees: received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Missouri Saint Louis in Special education and general education in 1998.
Certification: I am certified in General education from Grades 1-6 and Special Education Mild/ Moderate Behavior Disorders K-12.

Hobbies

I enjoy reading and writing for pleasure.  Some of my favorite Authors are J.K. Rowling, Jean Craighead George, and Laura Ingalls Wilder for children’s books.  I enjoy reading spiritual improvement/ self help books also.  When I am not working I am a highly involved member of my parish and do lots of activities with their Athletic organization and parish school.

Personal

I am married and have three school aged children that keep me very busy. I enjoy camping and floating with them but most of all enjoying their many sporting events. I was born and raised in South  Saint Louis and attended Catholic grade school ( Holy Family) and Catholic High School ( Saint John’s High School ).  I chose to go into teaching especially in the Catholic schools to share my faith life with others and to give back to the wonderful community that formed the person who I am today.
