Educational Experience

I am beginning my sixteenth year as a teacher here at Assumption Parish Catholic School. Prior to coming to Assumption I worked for two years at Our Lady of Sorrows School in South St. Louis, 2 years in the Phelps County (Rolla) Missouri School District, and two years in the Dade County (Miami) School District while we lived in Florida during my husbands military days.  All of the time teaching was for the first five grades with an emphasis on grades two and three.

Educational Background

Degrees and Certification: I have a BS Degree in Elementary Education from Quincy College (now Quincy University) and a life time teaching certificate from the State of Missouri. I have also have been certified for the D.A.S.H. science program – sponsored by the Archdiocese of Saint Louis.

Hobbies

My hobbies are varied, depending upon the season. During the spring, summer and fall I try to get at least on game of golf in per week. I also enjoy working in my garden (although I do not have a green thumb) as much as possible. Of course, I am avid reader of historical romance novels, historical fiction and suspense mysteries.  During the summer months I usually read between two and three novels a week.

Personal

I am in the process of putting an itinerary together for a cruise of Europe sometime in the not too distant future.  However, my grandchildren are the delight of my life as well as my children and husband. As one can see, I spend much free time doing family functions.
