If you would like to volunteer at Assumption Parish School or in programs with minors or vulnerable adults, you must be in complete compliance with the St. Louis Archdiocese Safe Environment Program before you are allowed to volunteer in any capacity. Volunteering opportunities include classroom parties, filed trips, coaching, etc.
Please go to the Safe Environment page of our website to see the requirements that need to be completed to be in compliance.
The Society of St. Vincent De Paul needs you. If you have a little bit of free time and would like to help out your neighbor in need, please consider joining the parish ministry that closely adheres to the call of Christ to love our neighbor. Please contact John Maloney at 314-707-9822.
As with everything in the world right now, we have to retool this very worthy Christmas program. Instead of adopting our usual 60 or so families, we’ll sponsor 193 individual school kids with a small gift bag, to include a family gift, they can carry home from school.
To cut down on bulk we’re asking for: $25 GIFT CARDS from grocery stores, Wal Mart, Target, Kohl’s, Macy’s, and the like. Fast food is ok too.
Gift cards can be dropped in the offertory in an envelope clearly marked SAF, or dropped at the parish office. Near the end of October, we will also put baskets at the back of church for hats and gloves for the kiddos.
We will have a small number of local families to adopt closer to Thanksgiving. We are praying for a strong level of support to support these families that are in great need. Please call Amy Craig with questions at 314-221-4268. Thank you!
